Founding Fathers

Tuft Family Monroe Utah
Christian Tuft, shown with his family, was the first Marshall of Monroe, Utah.

The following is a list of the early Pioneers of Alma [Monroe]; these men along with their families lived in Alma between the years of 1864 - 1867. They are considered the original Founding Fathers of Monroe, since they are the ones who first settled Monroe, and turned the dry desert area of southern Sevier County into “The Little Green Valley”.
